Michael Curry is a partner in Lewis Roca’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and post-grant matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and patent counseling.
Michael’s areas of technical proficiency include electrical engineering, computer engineering, software, business methods, display devices, battery technology, memory devices, video game systems and software, semiconductor device design and manufacturing, and customer contact center systems.
Michael received his law degree from the University of Arizona, where he served as managing editor of the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law. During law school, Michael also served as a summer judicial clerk for Judge Stephen M. McNamee (U.S. District Court, District of Arizona) and Judge Philip Espinosa (Arizona Court of Appeals).
Michael earned his B.S. degree in computer engineering, with minors in electrical engineering and computer science, from the University of Arizona. Prior to attending law school, he worked for Raytheon, where he engineered and designed electrical hardware components and software for use in multibillion dollar product lines.
Focused on efficiency, Michael strives to provide value every step of the way by anticipating and troubleshooting issues before they become big problems. He is nimble and flexible, always adapting his practice to best fit the needs of his clients.
Committed to staying up-to-date on the latest technology, Michael invests his spare time into learning as much as he can about it. Clients value his passion for their business and commitment to helping them succeed.
Growing up, Michael sang, played the drums, and had plans to be a rock star one day. When he realized his rock star dreams may not come true, he followed in the footsteps of his older brother and went to law school. When he isn’t working, you can find Michael playing music or singing with his wife and son.
